Holy fuck, according to my profile I have 135 entries, when I said I never shut up it was a misunderstatement. Granted, most of them are incomprehensible nonsensical rantings, but still. On a barely related note, for the past week or so my website has skyrocketed from a 1 hit every 2 months rate to 2 hits a day for no comprehensible reason. I'd actually update my site to keep this going but the whole point of updating the website is to actually add more crap to it, not say HI I AM AERIS AND I AM STILL ALIVE like 75% of my updates are, and the website is basically done. The only updates I can make to it are to add a new ZZT game or anything else I create, and as anybody who knows me knows, even with crappy joke projects like the Moustache series, it takes me ages to do anything. I'll be updating next on Christmas, IF I finish Algorithm II (yes that's underway already, don't ask) by then, chances are I won't.

So yeah, happy Thanksgiving to anybody who actually reads my LJ, yes, all zero of you! I must admit I freaking hate Thanksgiving, it's all a celebration of how the pilgrims killed the Native Americans. Not to be a grinch, as I love holidays, Christmas and New Years are always my favourite two days of the year, and I always eagerly await July 4th, I don't like Halloween but I always eat lots of candy and watch non-stop horror flicks on that day. I just can't get around celebrating the genocide of a whole race of people because they're "different", no matter how much it is sugarcoated. We might as well celebrate the Holocaust, Stalin's gulags, the Rwandan Genocide, etc.

Also, I updated my dreamlog again, so whoever's following it (Someone? Anyone? *notices a toaster in the room and dances around happily.*) go here. There's one dream I just had and I added all the night terrors I had ages ago, anyone I knew on IRC many, many, many years ago probably remembers me ranting like a lunatic about them because I had no clue what they were. They, as well as the dream I had today are pretty disturbing, so if you only read it for the super-random ones don't check it. It's a damn shame I can't remember more of my dreams, I'm at my most creative by far when I'm sleeping.

Oh yeah, to anybody wondering why I vanished from IRC, (hooray for this being a two month late announcement) it's mostly because I'm already on AIM and doing a multitude of other things on the computer and it's too hard to pay attention to both of them at once. Also anyone I talk to on IRC I can already talk to on AIM or has me on ignore, with an exception of one or two people. If you need me I'm still on AIM and will continue to be, under the name AerisAreAKitty. If you don't want to use AIM you can always register on the forum and PM me or post, or e-mail me.

For any idiots who aren't paying attention to the election, Senator Barack Obama has won the election. I still can't believe something this great has really happened. I'm for Obama but I've had a gut feeling for a while that McCain was going to win, and at the very very depressing beginning that's exactly what it looked like. I guess there really IS a God. As I said a bit ago, George Bush is like some person shooting himself in the chest, Obama is like the person calling 911, and McCain is like him shooting himself again. The person being America, of course.

May God bless everybody who actually got off their asses and voted for Obama, and curse all those rednecks who voted McCain or were too goddamn lazy to vote at all.

I still can't fully get it through my head that this has really happened, this is the best evening ever.

Happy belated Halloween, the second most pointless holiday that people actually celebrate. (The first being Valentine's Day *ducks*) But at least it's not Thanksgiving, the celebration of the pilgrims being jerks and killing all the Native Americans for helping them. Columbus Day is equally stupid, that man discovered America alright, after everyone else did. I guess I'm just a grinch though.

I put up a log that I've been keeping for a while, it has every dream I felt was worth including that I can remember, most of it is recent, though some of it dates back to the stone age of my life. The dreams range from very amusing and random to disturbing as heck. Link here. If nothing else, it's an amusing read if you're bored.

My LCD monitor broke down in a very unusual way that I can't explain at all. It started about a month ago.. or two, no idea. When I kept it off for an hour or so, more or less, when I turned it back on it would turn a bright gray instead of showing whatever it's supposed to. It wouldn't turn off normally either, so I had to unplug it and plug it back in to make it work. It took a few times the first time but the amount of times needed increased rapidly and now it's permanently in that weird gray state. I'm using an ancient monitor right now, it's darn old and everything looks weird on a resolution this small, but it works and that's all that matters.

Election Day is this Tuesday, can't believe this election is pretty much over, I'm already suffering the post election blues.. whatever that means. I can't vote but if I could I would vote for John McCain/Sarah Palin just because if they win we have John McCain for president, if Obama wins the government will kill him just like they did JFK. So yeah, it sounds weird, but we're fucked either way, but at least Obama survives if we all vote McCain.

I've been on a horror movie/book kick lately for no real reason, nostalgia maybe. I've watched the entire Halloween series again, it's truly amazing how fast it collapses into stupidity. Halloween 1 and 2 are timeless, like it or not, and truly terrifying as hell. I have no clue what the 3rd one has to do with ANYTHING. 4 and 5 are boring, though the 4th one is definitely the better one, I HATE the 5th one for the annoying characters and the ending, which paved the way for Halloween 6 which makes no goddamn sense whatsoever. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I didn't understand anything in that movie after the part where Jamie or whoever defenestrates herself to get away from the weird men in black. The rest of the series is even more dumb just because it doesn't have Dr. Loomis.

Speaking of horror stuff, Stephen King's Duma Key is probably his best book yet, or very close. It's terrifying and extremely suspenseful. (Spoilers ahead) The ending was disappointing though, after all that suspense Edgar killing Perse so easily was dumb, although the part where Wireman killed Zombie Emery was classic. (End of spoilers) Can't wait until his new book of short stories comes out in a week or so. (Just After Sunset) I can't believe he's still writing.. and writing awesome books at that. (well.. Cell was a tad crappy, but the classic Blaze and Duma Key made up for it)

Yay, it felt good to go on a neverending rant to myself. (Unless somebody besides me still doesn't hate me and reads this, HI THERE)

Man, I never thought of making my own iced tea instead of using the disgustingly sugary ICED SUGAR: PLACEBO EFFECT MAKES IT TASTE A BIT LIKE TEA!!!11 sold in stos, it's so much better, especially with Mango and Peach White Tea, that stuff is the best hot tea ever, unless it isn't. Whoever the heck first came up with the idea to make fruit flavoured hot teas is the man. Jones Soda is great stuff too, decided to finally try it since it was on sale, I didn't expect that big of a difference from sugar instead of HFCS, it's a great damn difference though.

I've been thinking about resurrecting Algorithm but it didn't get anywhere besides thinking because I'm incredibly lazy. I'm sure anybody who even knows what the heck Algorithm is knows I've had the whole plot, etc completely plotted out for centuries now, it's really lazyness that prevents me from getting anything done. To make it worse, school begins again soon so all of my effort will probably go back into attempting to do something in class. Can't wait 'till I graduate.

So last night I stayed up 'till about 3:30 A.M. and finally dozed off when I became too damn sleepy to stay awake anymore. Then I woke up at about 6:30 A.M. to get ready for summer school, getting only 3 hours of sleep, which is pretty bad even for me. I wasn't able to sleep a wink in class for some bizarre reason and mostly just sat there all day looking like I was high because I was too tired to pay attention to anything but not able to even yawn. Then there was a fire or something, all I know is that the fire alarm rang, everyone had to go outside for 20 minutes, and two firetrucks randomly came and soon we came back in. I'm not exactly sure there even was a fire though, still.

This event was one hell of an unintentional disastrophe however, as it messed up where all the buses usually are and I ended up missing mine in the confusion that was ensuing. My idiotic side took over and I decided to walk home for over three miles, mostly uphill, in 90 something, if not 100 degree weather. I walked as fast as I possibly could the whole way because I wanted to get out of the goddamn heat and about halfway there my heart started hurting, by the time I got home my whole chest was screaming. (I have heart problems) I was also wet as a fucker, my throat was so dry it hurt, my muscles (even my LUNGS) felt like they didn't want to do any movement anymore, and I was having mild hallucinations. Not sure how I made it but that's the last time I do something that stupid. Amazingly enough I'm STILL not sleepy, though my head is still hurting bad as fuck, it's some kind of a curse I tell you.

After over five years of procrastination and occasional effort, Nevada Jones and The Questionable Bureaucracy is FINALLY complete! In case you're not aware, Nevada Jones is a 48 level epic collaboration for Jetpack by me, Zandor 12, and Surlent/Jazzy that has been in progress since the beginning of 2003. It was originally supposed to be 16 levels by each of us but there's 16 by me, 24 by Zandor, and 8 by Jazzy due to unforeseen events.

So, I have actually set a release date for Algorithm Part 1: Disco For Justice, sure I'm horrible at hitting release dates/deadlines and the madman gnomes that have invaded my brain will probably cause me to become even lazier just to fail it also how did this sentence become so long? Anyway, it'll be released on the 27th of April, 2007 2008. Purposefully crappy and pointless promotional poster things coming one of these days! I've trimmed the overall plans for the thing down to 3 parts so there can be some hope of it ever being finished. DEPENDING ON IF I CAN FIT PART 2 INTO ONE ZZT FILE IT MAY OR MAY NOT END UP BEING 4 FILES! But however many parts it turns out to be in the end, I'll release them part by part. Hopefully I can hit the release date and churn the other 2-3 parts in 2 years each.

Why is it that the week before Christmas Break never fucking ends?! I could've sworn Thursday was yesterday. =/ Also it might be my imagination but the homework seems to be multiplying this week too. Then again, considering I have a huge project I haven't even started yet due Friday, the regenerating week of death is a great thing. Even if I'll still end up starting it at 5 AM the day it's due, end up making something incredibly crappy, and getting a B as always.

In other news I finally gained some inspiration for President of Tomatoes, it'll be released on Christmas for sure. The great thing about these types of ZZT games is that you can stop and call it finished at any number of boards as there is no plot or connectivity. After this, all I have left is 14 more levels for Nevada Jones and the Questionable Bureaucracy, (yes, we finally decided on a name for the Jetpack project) and the rest of Algorithm and I am free of game modding obligations 'till eternity! ..Unless I start 10 more projects in my stupidity.

Bah, time to go back to studying for tomorrow's test and get some actual sleep.

This is seriously freaky. This was recorded off NBC before you dismiss it as bullshit. Though I do not deny time travel, (it's happened all the time accidentally) the government having the technology to do it almost seems too far out. No wonder the world is about to end. God only knows what else they've managed to secretly obtain over the years. (Mind control also does exist.)

As I expected, I am failing half of my classes. The funny part is that in every class I'm failing, I have a 80-95% in one of the areas (classwork, tests, whatever) but have done atrociously in every other area. I really need to stop procrastination and start *shudders* putting in some actual effort. Or just constantly repeat that I do in hopes of hypnotizing myself enough to actually stop being lazy.

Speaking of lazy, I have big Astronomy and Algebra II tests tomorrow and I still haven't studied. TIME TO STAY UP ALL NIGHT READING RANDOM WEBCOMICS AND TELLING MYSELF I'LL START STUDYING IN THE NEXT HOUR THEN GO TO SCHOOL AND FALL ASLEEP IN EVERY CLASS!!!11

Also, I just found my list of New Years resolutions for this year. I have fulfilled a record breaking 2 of them, despite forgetting all of them before 2007 even started. Weird.

For anyone who's still following Algorithm: (truly one of the wonders of the modern world if anyone still is) I'm continuing to do actual progress for it. The untitled forest is 80% or so done, Aeris's introduction into the story is done, etc. Current filesize is 190 KBs. I'm currently trying to think of some creative stuff to stuff into the rest of the forest. More running around and slashing cannibal bushes could get tedious. If I can't think of anything I'll just make new enemies, or add an RPG battle since I finally figured out how to code that.
